Design Your Own Clothes Online
- No minimums
- 3D Custom Designer
- Orlando pickup or US shipping
Design your own clothes without design software, a sewing machine or a minimum order. Pick a hat, hoodie, tee, sweatshirt or patch from our custom apparel catalog, add your logo, artwork or a few words, and see how it looks before anything is stitched or printed. You can design it live in our 3D Custom Designer or, for 100+ pieces, request a bulk quote, and you only pay when you place the order.
Two Ways to Start: 3D Custom Designer or Bulk Quote (100+ Pieces)
Design online if you already have the file. Choose the garment and color, upload your art or type your text, and tell us where it goes: left chest, full front, back, sleeve or the front of a cap. It's the fastest path when you know what you want.
Request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces, even if you have an idea but not a finished file. Send a logo, a phone photo of a sketch, or a short description ("our bakery name in script, small, on a navy polo"). We lay it out on the garment as a free mockup and send it back for you to approve or change, with unlimited revisions. Either way, you see the design on the actual product before it's made.
What You Can Customize: Hats, Hoodies, Tees, Sweatshirts and Patches
Almost everything we sell starts blank and becomes yours:
- Tees and shirts: cotton and tri-blend tees, performance shirts, polos and button-ups.
- Hoodies and sweatshirts: pullovers, zip-ups, crewnecks, quarter-zips and knit sweaters, including ugly Christmas sweaters for the office party.
- Hats: trucker caps, dad hats, snapbacks, beanies, bucket hats and Richardson caps.
- Patches: design your own patch in embroidered, PVC or leather, then sew it onto a jacket or put it on a cap.
- Pet-portrait apparel: shirts and hoodies printed with your pet's portrait, so the family photo matches.
One design can run across mixed styles, colors and sizes, so a hoodie for you and a tee for your team can come from the same artwork.
Upload Art, Add Personalized Text or Start From an Idea
There are three common starting points for clothing design here:
- Your own artwork. A logo, illustration or photo. SVG or PDF files scale cleanly; for prints, a PNG with a transparent background at 300 dpi at actual print size works well. AI and EPS files can be sent with a bulk quote.
- Personalized text. Names, numbers, dates, a team motto. Choose a font and color, and we'll size it for the placement. Personalized jerseys, family reunion tees and monogrammed gifts usually start here.
- Just an idea. Browse our design inspiration for layouts that work on fabric, then try yours in our 3D Custom Designer.
You keep the rights to the artwork you upload. Just make sure it's yours or you have permission to use it, since trademarked logos and licensed characters can't legally be reproduced without the owner's OK.
Design Clothes Online Free, Pay Only When You Order
Building a design and getting a mockup costs nothing. You pay when you order, and the only one-time setup fees depend on the method:
- Embroidery: a $35 digitizing fee per design, charged once. After that, the stitch file lives in your account for you to download and reuse, and reorders of the same design skip the fee.
- DTF printing: no setup fee, which makes one-off pieces affordable.
- Screen printing: for 100+ piece orders through our team; setup is quoted with your order and charged once per design, so reorders skip it too.
Per-item cost then depends on the garment, the method, the number of colors or stitches, how many placements you add and the quantity. There's no minimum, so you can order a single piece to test a design before committing to a batch.
Preview Embroidery vs. Print Before You Buy
The same artwork can look very different stitched versus printed, so pick the method before you finalize the design.
- Embroidery gives raised, textured, premium detail on polos, caps and fleece. It loves bold shapes and solid colors and struggles with gradients, photos and text under about 1/4 in. tall. See embroidered designs for what stitches well.
- Screen printing delivers bright, durable solid colors and suits designs with one to four colors on runs of 100+ pieces through our team.
- DTF handles full color on cotton, polyester and blends, including small text and fine detail.
- DTG prints photos and painterly art directly into 100% cotton with a soft feel, though we print with DTF instead.
- Sublimation dyes edge-to-edge designs into light-colored polyester, ideal for performance shirts in Florida heat, though it isn't something we offer.
Not sure which fits? Our print methods compared side by side covers durability, feel and cost. Your mockup will show the method you choose, and we'll flag it if the art needs adjusting.
Building a Branded Clothing Line?
Plenty of people who design clothes with us are starting a label, not just making one shirt. A branded line needs a logo that works small and large, a consistent color palette and a plan for neck labels and packaging. Start with logos that stitch and print well, then read our guide to launching a clothing brand for sampling, pricing and the first drop. Order one sample of each piece, wear it, wash it, and only then scale up.
Need a Hand? We'll Help Finish Your Idea
You don't have to be a clothing designer to get a clean result. Send what you have and we'll handle the layout: sizing the art to the placement, choosing thread or ink colors that contrast with the garment, and converting a logo into stitches for embroidery. If something won't reproduce well, such as a hairline detail or a low-resolution image pulled from a website, we'll tell you before you order rather than after.
Tips for Custom Designs That Turn Out Great
- Design for the placement. A left-chest logo is about 3.5–4 in. wide, a full front on an adult tee about 10–12 in., and a cap front about 2–2.25 in. tall. Art that works at one size may not work at another.
- Limit colors where it counts. Fewer colors keep screen-print setup down and make embroidery crisper.
- Mind the contrast. Dark ink on a dark garment disappears; test light, dark and heather blanks in your mockup.
- Keep text readable. Use bold fonts at small sizes and avoid thin script for embroidery under 1/4 in.
- Proofread names. Personalized orders live or die on spelling, so check every name and number in the mockup.
- Think about the wash. Embroidery and sublimation hold up best to frequent washing; turn printed garments inside out and skip high heat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I design my own clothes online for free?
Yes. Designing in our 3D Custom Designer and requesting a bulk quote for 100+ pieces are both free, and you only pay when you place an order. The one-time setup fees are a $35 digitizing fee for embroidery and, on 100+ piece orders, screen-print setup quoted with your order; DTF printing has no setup fee. There's no minimum quantity, so a single piece is fine.
What's the best website to design clothes?
The best clothing design website lets you see the result on the real garment, explains which decoration method suits your art, and shows its fees before you check out. Look for no minimums, a free proof or mockup, and a real person who'll review your file. That combination prevents most disappointing first orders.
Can I see a mockup before ordering?
Yes. Every design is previewed before production: you see it live on the garment you picked in our 3D Custom Designer, and bulk orders of 100+ pieces get a free mockup with placement, size and colors marked, plus unlimited revisions from our team. Nothing is stitched or printed until you approve it, so you won't be surprised by a logo that's too small or a color that clashes.
What file types can I upload?
Vector SVG or PDF files are best because they scale without blurring and convert cleanly to embroidery; AI and EPS files can be sent with a bulk quote. For printing, a PNG with a transparent background at 300 dpi at actual print size works well, and high-resolution JPGs are fine for photos. Low-resolution images copied from websites usually print fuzzy, so send the original if you have it.
Can you create the artwork for me?
We can turn a sketch, photo or description into a clean layout on a free mockup for 100+ pieces, including sizing, color choices and text; smaller orders use our 3D Custom Designer. For embroidery, we digitize your logo into a stitch file for a one-time $35 fee. If you need an original logo designed from scratch, tell us what you have in mind and we'll talk through the options.
Is there a minimum when I design my own clothing?
No. You can order one personalized hoodie, one branded polo or one patch, and reorder the same design later in any quantity. Larger orders spread one-time setup fees across more pieces, which lowers the cost per item, but volume is never required to get started.
