School Spirit Shirts for Students and Staff
Spirit tees do most of the work in a school year: Friday spirit days, pep rallies, field day and the first week back. The classic is a one- or two-color design screen printed on a bright cotton tee. Setup is quoted per ink color on orders of 100+ pieces, so on a whole-school run that one-time cost all but disappears.
A few ideas that work well:
- Color wars by grade. Same design, different shirt color for each class, so every grade is easy to spot in the gym.
- Field trip shirts. Safety orange, neon green and bright yellow help chaperones count heads. Leave the date off and the same shirt works for every trip that year.
- Theme days. Tie-dye tees are a spirit-week favorite and look great in group photos.
- Staff shirts. Teachers often wear the student design on a different color, or a branded polo with the school crest stitched on the left chest for open house and conferences.
Central Florida field days and outdoor pep rallies run hot. Choose light colors in lightweight cotton or moisture-wicking polyester, and save heavy dark tees for winter events. One more practical point: school logos and mascots usually belong to the school or district, so get the front office's OK before you upload one.
Graduation and Senior Class Shirts
Senior shirts are the keepsake of the year. Custom graduation shirts typically carry "Class of 2027" and the school name on the front and every senior's name on the back. A few hundred names fit in a grid across a full back print, and your mockup shows the layout at real scale so you can check that the smallest names are still readable.
Ask the senior sponsor or registrar for the official name list as a spreadsheet instead of retyping it. Copy-paste errors are the most common reason a grad shirt gets reprinted. Because every shirt carries the same design, screen printing is usually the most economical method for a class of 100+; smaller classes get DTF.
Families order too. Personalized grad-party shirts with the graduate's photo, a cap-and-gown silhouette or "Proud Mom of a 2027 Grad" print best with DTF, which handles photos and gradients with no setup fee.
Cheer, Dance and Club Shirts
Squads go through shirts quickly. Custom cheer shirts usually come in two kinds: practice tees in moisture-wicking polyester that stand up to two-a-days in August, and competition-day shirts for parents and siblings in the stands. Sublimation prints edge to edge on white or light polyester with no feel at all (not a method we offer), and DTF adds each athlete's name to the back.
Dance teams, band, chorus, robotics, drama and service clubs all follow the same pattern: one branded design for the group, with personalized names or roles where they matter. Theater tech crews usually want plain black shirts with a small chest print so they disappear backstage. Varsity and JV rosters with names and numbers are covered in our sports and department shirts. For a club crest that moves from backpack to jacket, embroidered or PVC custom patches are a sturdy option.
Personalized Class Years and Student Names
Most school orders combine two layers. The shared design on the front is printed the same way on every shirt, and the names, numbers or class years are added one shirt at a time with DTF, which has no setup fee, so a 60-member band order needs no extra setup for 60 different names.
Good placements for names include the upper back in 2- to 3-inch letters, a sleeve for the class year, or under a small chest logo. Teachers also order personalized classroom shirts like "Ms. Rivera's 3rd Grade Crew" for field trips. Whatever you add, send names in a spreadsheet. You'll approve your design before anything is produced, so check each spelling there. Design it in our 3D Custom Designer, or request a bulk quote (100+ pieces) for a free mockup.
Fundraising Shirts for PTAs and Booster Clubs
Shirt sales are one of the simplest fundraisers to run. Most PTAs and booster clubs presell with an order form so they buy only what's sold, then charge families a price that covers the shirt and adds a margin. Booster clubs add branded parent shirts, such as "Proud Parent of #12", for game nights.
The math favors one design on the whole order. A two-color screen print needs two screens, set up once, so spreading that over 200 shirts makes the setup nearly invisible. Setup fees are one-time per design: reorders, and the same design on other products, never pay them again; only a design change needs new setup. Next year's reorder, youth sizes or a matching hoodie in the same design carry no new setup. Choose a dependable blank from our cheap custom tees in bulk, keep the ink colors down, and ask for volume pricing when you request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces.
Whole-School Orders: Size Counts and Deadlines
Large orders go smoothly when the planning is done before you order:
- Lock the design. Get the principal or sponsor to approve the mockup before collecting money or sizes.
- Collect sizes with a form. Ask for name, teacher or grade, and size, with youth and adult sizes listed separately. Elementary schools are mostly youth sizes; see our custom kids t-shirts for youth and toddler fits for pre-K.
- Order a few spares in the middle sizes for new students and forgotten forms.
- Plan back from the event. Rush orders are available for a fee quoted with your order; tell us your in-hand date and we'll confirm it before you approve.
- Pick up or ship. Orlando-metro schools can pick up at our Orlando-area warehouse, and every order can ship anywhere in the US.
Sort your size list by classroom before the shirts arrive and distribution day takes minutes, not an afternoon.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do we order custom school shirts for a whole class?
Choose a shirt style and color, then design it in our 3D Custom Designer with your school logo or artwork, or request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces for a free mockup. SVG or PDF files are best, and high-resolution PNG or JPG files work too. AI and EPS files can be sent with a bulk quote. Collect each student's size with a simple form, enter the size breakdown in your order and approve the mockup. Mixed youth and adult sizes are fine in one order, and you can pick up at our Orlando-area warehouse or have the shirts shipped to the school.
Can you print each graduate's name on the back?
Yes. A full back print can hold every senior's name, with the class year and school name on the front. Send the official name list as a spreadsheet, and we'll lay the names out in a grid sized to your class. Request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces, and you'll check the spelling and readability of the smallest names on your free mockup before anything is printed.
Do you offer pricing for PTAs and booster clubs?
The price per shirt drops as quantity rises, because one-time setup is spread across more shirts. Screen printing, for orders of 100+ pieces, has a one-time setup per ink color quoted with the order, and DTF has no setup fee at all. Live prices for each blank are on the product pages, and PTAs and booster clubs ordering 100+ pieces can request a bulk quote for volume pricing and a free mockup.
How early should we order for spirit week?
Start as soon as the spirit week dates are set. Collecting sizes and getting design approval usually take longer than production, so lock those down first. If the week sneaks up on you, rush orders are available for a fee quoted with your order; tell us your in-hand date and we'll confirm it before you approve.
