Spirit Wear for Elementary, Middle and High School
Spirit wear gets worn on Fridays, on field trips and in the stands, so it has to fit everyone from kindergartners to seniors to the parents cheering them on. One design can run from youth XS to adult 3XL, which lets a whole school order from a single artwork file.
- Spirit-day and field-trip tees. Bright shirt colors make a class easy to count in a crowd. Browse school t-shirts for spirit days, clubs and graduation.
- Senior and class-year shirts. The class year on the front and every graduate's name on the back, a keepsake students actually keep.
- Hoodies for cooler months. Our school hoodies work for teams, clubs and the whole student body.
- Caps and beanies for teachers on car-line or bus duty.
Size the art to the shirt. A full-front print around 10–12 in. wide suits adult sizes, while 8–10 in. reads better on youth chests. High school apparel usually leans on the mascot and class year; elementary designs work best with bigger shapes and fewer colors. In Central Florida, outdoor events stay hot well into fall, so a light cotton-poly blend or polyester tee beats heavy cotton for field day.
College and University Club Apparel
Most college apparel orders start with a club, not the athletics department: intramural teams, honor societies, residence halls, student government, HBCU homecoming crews and alumni chapters. These groups want gear built around their own name, inside jokes and event dates. Fleece is the campus uniform, and our college crewnecks cover the classic arched-name look.
If a design uses the university's name, seal or mascot, read the licensing section below before you order.
School Sports and Booster Club Gear
Booster clubs outfit the team and the families behind it. For game-day uniforms, start with our school team uniforms, then add the extras parents buy every season:
- Parent shirts with a player's number and name, such as "Martinez #12"
- Warm-up hoodies and sideline quarter-zips
- Coaches' polos with an embroidered logo
- Caps with the mascot stitched flat or raised with 3D puff embroidery
Send a roster spreadsheet with each name, number and size, and every personalized piece is made from that list. DTF is a strong choice for names and numbers on dark polyester, while screen printing keeps costs down when the whole program wears the same design on 100+ pieces.
Branded Staff and Faculty Polos
Teachers, front-office staff and administrators need something polished enough for parent conferences and comfortable enough for recess duty. A moisture-wicking polo with an embroidered left-chest logo, about 3.5–4 in. wide, covers both. Quarter-zips handle chilly mornings.
Embroidery carries a one-time $35 digitizing fee per design, and the stitch file is downloadable from your account. Both setup fees, $35 digitizing and screen-print setup on 100+ piece orders, are one-time per design. Reorders and the same logo on a cap, a jacket or a youth size are never charged again, so adding branded polos for new hires mid-year costs no extra setup. Staff appreciation week is another chance to give personalized gifts, such as a tote or cap with each teacher's name.
Fundraiser Stores and Spirit Sales
Spirit wear is one of the easiest fundraisers to repeat every year. There are two ways to run it:
- Pre-order sale. Collect sizes and payment by a deadline, then place one order. No leftover stock, no guessing on sizes.
- Stocked table. Order inventory to sell at games and open houses. More upside, but you carry unsold sizes.
Setup fees matter more on small runs. A three-color screen print needs three screens, a setup that costs pennies a shirt across a 200-shirt sale, and screen printing starts at 100 pieces. For short runs, DTF has no setup fee. Want ideas that sell? See our roundup of the best fundraiser apparel.
Licensing and Logo Permissions Explained
You need permission to use every school or organization logo on an order.
- K-12 schools usually own their logo and mascot. Get a written OK from the principal, athletic director or district office.
- Look-alike mascots are a trap. Many high school logos borrow a pro or college design. The school's permission doesn't cover a mark someone else owns, so plan to redraw it.
- Colleges and universities treat names, seals, logos and mascots as trademarks. Most require products with those marks to come from a licensed vendor and get campus approval first. Hofstra's student-organization rules are a typical example.
BizzyStitchn doesn't sell officially licensed college merchandise. For clubs, we focus on designs built around your organization's own name and original artwork.
Ordering Timelines for the School Year
| When | What's happening | What to order |
|---|---|---|
| July–August | Back to school, staff onboarding, open house | Staff polos, spirit tees |
| September–October | Homecoming, fall sports, spirit week | Homecoming shirts, booster gear, hoodies |
| November–December | Winter sports, holiday events | Crewnecks, beanies, ugly Christmas sweaters for the staff party |
| January–March | Spring sports, clubs, testing season | Team gear, club shirts |
| April–May | Field day, staff appreciation week, graduation | Field-day tees, staff gifts, senior shirts |
Work back from the event date. Collecting sizes is usually the slowest step, followed by mockup approval. Rush orders are available, with the rush fee quoted with your order. Orlando-area schools can pick up finished orders at our Orlando-area warehouse, or we'll ship anywhere in the US.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you print our school logo or mascot?
Yes, as long as you have permission to use it. K-12 schools usually authorize their own logos through the principal or district office. SVG or PDF files are best, and high-resolution PNG or JPG files are accepted. AI and EPS files can be sent with a bulk quote. Design it in our 3D Custom Designer, or request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces to approve a free mockup before anything is produced.
Do you handle college-licensed logos?
No. We don't sell officially licensed college merchandise. Most universities require items carrying their name, seal or mascot to come from a licensed vendor with campus approval. We help student organizations with designs built around their own name, letters and original artwork. Check your campus licensing office's rules before you finalize a design.
Can parents order individually through an online store?
Not yet; we don't run online stores. Because there's no minimum, individual and late orders are always possible, and both setup fees are one-time per design, so a reorder never pays setup again. For most PTOs, the simplest path is a pre-order form with a deadline, run by one volunteer, followed by one order with exact sizes.
What's the turnaround before spirit week?
It depends on the decoration method, the quantity and how fast sizes are collected and the mockup is approved. Rush orders are available for a fee quoted with your order; tell us your in-hand date and we'll confirm it before you approve. Collect sizes early, because that's the step that usually runs late.
Is there a minimum order for school apparel?
No. Custom school apparel can be ordered one piece at a time, whether that's a single teacher's polo or shirts for an entire grade. Setup fees are one-time per design: $35 digitizing for embroidery and nothing for DTF, with screen-print setup quoted on 100+ piece orders. Reorders never pay setup again, and larger orders spread it further.
