Camouflage Patterns and Blaze Accents
Camo pattern depends on the blank, and each product page shows exactly which pattern and colorway a hoodie uses. Most fall into a few families: - Woodland and hardwood patterns in browns, greens and leaf shapes, the classic for tree stands and deer season. - Marsh and wetland patterns in tans and grass tones, built for duck blinds and lake edges. - Open-country and desert tones for dry fields and western hunts. - Fashion and military-style camo, including digital, tiger stripe and snow colorways, for everyday wear and brand merch.
Blaze orange is the easiest accent to add. A blaze logo, name or back print pops against any camo and makes club gear easy to spot in a group photo. Keep in mind that a printed logo rarely covers enough area to meet hunter-orange rules. Many states, including Florida on some public hunting lands, require a minimum amount of fluorescent orange during gun seasons, so check your state wildlife agency's current rules.
Gear Hunt Clubs and Outfitters Want: Branded Camo Fleece
A custom camo hoodie for a hunt club is something members wear at camp, at the feed store and on the drive home, so the logo needs to look good up close and from across a parking lot.
The most common setup is a branded left-chest logo with the club or outfitter name large across the back. Personalized member names on a sleeve or the back hem turn a club order into a keepsake, and a season year makes each order collectible. Guides and outfitters often order branded staff hoodies for the crew plus a retail run to sell to clients at the lodge.
For weight, a midweight camo fleece handles Central Florida's cold snaps, when a deer-season morning can start in the 40s and finish near 75. Heavyweight fleece suits northern hunts and long sits. Many clubs finish the look with camo trucker hats in a matching pattern.
We decorate the blanks we supply, so we can't stitch hunting jackets or gear bought elsewhere. Pick a hoodie from the collection and we'll plan your design around it.
Sun Hoodies and Fishing Hoodies for Florida Water
Custom sun hoodies start with a lightweight, long-sleeve hooded shirt, usually polyester knit, built for hours in the sun rather than for warmth. The hood covers your ears and neck, the fabric wicks sweat and dries fast, and we carry UPF-rated styles. Anglers, boat crews, paddlers and beach-goers wear them year-round in Florida.
Custom fishing hoodies are a natural fit for: - Full-dye tournament designs. Sublimation dyes artwork edge to edge into white or light polyester, so fish graphics, the tournament name and sponsor logos can cover the whole hoodie with no feel at all. We don't offer sublimation, but DTF prints full-color tournament art on any sun hoodie. - Charter and guide crews. A small branded chest logo with the boat name on the back keeps the crew identifiable to clients. - Bass clubs and inshore groups that want a personalized angler name on each sleeve.
DTF works well for logos on colored sun hoodies, and small embroidered logos stay light enough not to trap heat. For short-sleeve and long-sleeve tops without a hood, see our performance fishing shirts.
Embroidery vs. Print on Camo Fabric
Busy camo swallows thin lines and dark colors. The rule is simple: bold shapes, strong contrast, and a solid color behind the logo when you can.
| Method | How it looks on camo | Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Embroidery | Raised thread texture stands out even in low contrast | Choose black, white, tan or blaze orange thread; avoid fine lines. One-time $35 digitizing, and reorders of the same design skip it |
| 3D puff embroidery | Letters stand up over foam | Best for bold names and logos on camo caps; we offer puff on hats only |
| Screen printing | Solid, opaque ink in one or two colors | Add a thick outline or a solid shape behind the logo; screen printing is for 100+ pieces, with setup quoted once, and reorders skip it |
| DTF | Full-color logos with clean edges | Add an outline so the art separates from the pattern; no setup fee |
| Patches | A solid backing isolates the logo completely | Embroidered, PVC or leather patches |
| Sublimation | Not suitable on camo | Only works on white or light polyester, such as sun hoodies; not offered by us |
Patches are the cleanest answer on the busiest patterns, because the logo sits on its own background. Rugged PVC patches shrug off water, mud and fish slime, while leather patches give an outfitter look that ages well.
Tournament, Charter and Club Orders
Outdoor groups usually order in waves: members, staff, sponsors and family. A few tips keep a group order clean: - Collect sizes and names on one sheet, including youth sizes for young hunters and anglers. - Plan sponsor space. Sleeves, the upper back and the back hem hold sponsor logos without crowding the main design. - Use one design across custom camo hoodies, hats and shirts so the whole group matches. - Share your in-hand date, such as a tournament weigh-in or opening day. Rush orders are available, with the rush fee quoted with your order.
Every design is previewed before production, in our 3D Custom Designer or on a free mockup for 100+ pieces. Pick up at our Orlando-area warehouse, or we'll ship anywhere in the US. For larger seasonal programs, our club hoodie orders page covers names, numbers and mixed sizing in more detail.
Hoodie Care After Field and Saltwater Use
- Field use: let mud dry, brush it off, then wash inside out in cold water. Many hunters use a scent-free detergent without UV brighteners, and skip fabric softener.
- Saltwater use: rinse sun hoodies in fresh water as soon as you're off the boat, then wash cold and hang dry. Salt left in the fabric stiffens it and dulls prints.
- All decorated hoodies: no bleach, no ironing over prints or patches, and low heat in the dryer. PVC patches wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you embroider a logo on camo?
Yes. Embroidery is one of the best options on camo, because the raised thread stands out even where colors are similar. Bold logos in black, white, tan or blaze orange thread work best. There's a one-time $35 digitizing fee per design, and reorders of the same design skip it. 3D puff embroidery is available for raised lettering on matching camo caps.
What is a sun hoodie?
A sun hoodie is a lightweight, long-sleeve hooded shirt made from thin, quick-drying fabric, usually polyester. It protects your arms, neck and ears from the sun while staying breathable, which is why anglers and boaters wear them in Florida heat. Many carry a UPF rating, and light colors take full sublimated designs well.
Do you make fishing tournament hoodies?
Yes. Tournament hoodies can carry the event name, date, sponsor logos and personalized angler names, printed in full color with DTF, embroidered, or screen printed on orders of 100+ pieces. There's no minimum: design it in our 3D Custom Designer, or request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces and approve a free mockup before production. Rush orders are available if the weigh-in is close.
Which camo patterns can I choose from?
It depends on the hoodie. Each product page lists its exact pattern and colorway, which range from woodland and marsh tones to digital and fashion camo. Sublimation can also print an original camo-style pattern edge to edge on a light polyester hoodie, though it's not a method we offer. We don't reproduce trademarked camo patterns.
Are sun hoodies UPF rated?
We carry UPF-rated sun hoodies, and each product page lists the fabric's rating. A UPF 50+ fabric lets through no more than about one-fiftieth of the sun's UV, blocking roughly 98 percent. The rating comes from the fabric itself, and decorating the hoodie doesn't change it. Don't assume a regular cotton hoodie offers the same protection.
