Custom Jacket Embroidery

Custom jacket embroidery puts your logo, team name or initials on the outerwear people actually keep: soft shells, fleece, bombers, vests and sideline warm-ups. Order one jacket or outfit a whole crew with no minimum, see your design in our 3D Custom Designer (or a free mockup on bulk orders of 100+ pieces) before anything is stitched, and get it shipped anywhere in the US. Why Crews and Corporate Teams Choose Branded Jackets

A jacket goes on over everything else, so the logo on it is the one people see all morning. In Central Florida that means cool starts on job sites, cold office air conditioning, January sidelines and evening events on the water. Branded outerwear also makes a strong service award or client gift because it costs more than a tee and gets worn for years.

Embroidery suits jackets better than print. Thread handles the friction of seatbelts, backpack straps and constant zipping, and it doesn't crack on stretchy soft-shell fabric. Your design is digitized once for a one-time $35 fee, the stitch file is downloadable from your account, and every reorder matches without paying that fee again. Styles We Stitch: Soft Shells, Bombers, Fleece and Puffers

Most custom embroidery jackets fall into a few families, and each takes thread a little differently:

  • Soft shells: bonded polyester with a little stretch and a water-resistant face. The smooth surface is ideal for a crisp left-chest logo or a large back design, digitized slightly lighter so the fabric doesn't pucker.
  • Fleece jackets: microfleece and heavier polar fleece. A water-soluble topping keeps stitches sitting on top of the pile instead of sinking in.
  • Bombers: nylon or twill shells with ribbed cuffs. Great for a chest logo plus bold lettering across the back.
  • Work jackets: duck canvas and chore coats hold dense logos and take hard wear.
  • Puffers and insulated jackets: stitching through insulation flattens it and leaves needle holes in down-proof fabric, so keep the logo small on a flat area, or use a patch.

Denim and Leather Jacket Embroidery

Denim is one of the best fabrics for thread. Its tight cotton twill supports dense stitching, so a full-back design, a name across the yoke or a small chest mark all hold their shape. Pre-washed denim is best, so the jacket doesn't shrink around the stitching later.

Leather needs more care. Every needle hole is permanent, so leather designs are digitized with fewer, more open stitches and placed carefully on a flat panel. For thick or heavily seamed leather, a leather or embroidered patch is usually the safer route. We carry denim jackets in this collection; leather jackets aren't in our catalog. We stitch the jackets we supply rather than customer-supplied ones, so pick your style here and check it on your mockup first.

Team Warm-Ups and Zip-Up Sideline Jackets

Warm-up gear for teams usually means polyester track jackets and lined sideline jackets with a team logo on the chest, the program name across the back and personalized player names on the sleeve or back yoke. Coaches often add a matching quarter-zip or hoodie, so the bench looks unified from August practices to the winter playoffs. For layers under or instead of a jacket, see our embroidered zip-up hoodies and embroidered quarter-zips, which take the same logo file.

Premium Vests and the Patagonia Question

If you came here looking for Patagonia custom embroidery, here's the honest answer. Patagonia stopped adding company logos to its gear in 2021, then in 2023 began allowing limited embroidery again: off the front of the garment, such as a sleeve or below the back collar, with every project approved by Patagonia through its own authorized corporate channel (PPAI coverage of the policy change). We aren't part of that program, so we don't sell Patagonia with your logo.

What we do offer is premium soft-shell, fleece and quilted vests that take a clean left-chest logo, a popular branded look for sales teams, finance offices and executive gifts.

Left Chest, Full Back or Sleeve: Jacket Placement Options

Placement Typical size Notes
Left chest 3–4 in wide The standard branded spot; must clear the zipper and any chest pocket
Right chest 3–4 in wide, up to 1 in tall Personalized names, titles or a second logo
Full back 10–12 in wide Highest stitch count; best on flat-backed shells, denim and bombers
Back yoke 4–6 in wide A tagline or name just below the collar
Sleeve about 3 in wide Upper arm or near the cuff; flags, years and small icons

Stitch count rises fast with size, so a full back can take several times the machine time of a chest logo. If budget matters, a chest logo plus a sleeve hit looks complete for far less.

Embroidery or Patches on Outerwear?

Direct embroidery looks most premium and can't peel off, so it's the first choice on flat panels. Patches win on puffers, thick leather, heavy canvas, or anywhere you may want to move or replace the design later. Hook-and-loop patches let crews swap names and unit badges on the same jacket. Compare backings and materials in our patches for jackets collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you embroider a full back design on a jacket?

Yes. Flat-backed jackets like soft shells, bombers, fleece, denim and canvas work jackets take a full-back design roughly 10 to 12 inches wide. A design that large has a high stitch count, so it costs more than a chest logo. On puffers and quilted jackets, a large back patch is the better option.

Can you embroider leather or denim jackets?

Denim takes embroidery very well, including full-back designs. Leather can be embroidered with lighter, more open stitching because every needle hole is permanent, and thick leather often works better with a patch. We carry denim jackets in this collection (leather jackets aren't in our catalog), and we stitch the jackets we supply rather than ones customers send in.

Can you embroider a Patagonia vest with my company logo?

We don't sell Patagonia gear with logos. Patagonia approves co-branded embroidery itself, project by project, through its own authorized corporate channel. If you want a premium branded vest, we can stitch your logo on high-quality soft-shell, fleece and quilted vests from our catalog, with a free mockup first on a bulk quote for 100+ pieces.

Can I have a jacket I already own embroidered?

No. We don't embroider jackets customers send in; we stitch the jackets we supply. That keeps fabric, backing and placement predictable, and it makes replacements easy for crews. Choose a soft shell, fleece, bomber, work jacket or vest from this collection, and your mockup shows the design on it before anything is stitched.

Do you do one-off bomber jacket embroidery?

Yes. There's no minimum, so one bomber with a name on the chest and a design across the back is a normal order. The back design carries the one-time $35 digitizing fee, and a one-color name on the chest is $10.
