Custom Athletic Apparel & Branded Activewear

Custom athletic apparel puts your gym, studio or run club logo on gear people actually train in: moisture-wicking tees, racerback tanks, joggers and hoodies. We match the decoration to the fabric, so prints flex with a squat and survive the wash. Order one sample or a full drop of branded member gear, with no minimum. Need more than activewear? Why Members Wear Branded Gym Apparel Outside the Gym

A good gym shirt doesn't stay in the gym. It goes to school drop-off, the grocery store and the Saturday 5K, and every one of those trips shows your logo to people who live nearby. Members wear it when two things are true: the fabric feels good, and the design reads like a badge of belonging rather than an ad.

That shapes the design. A small chest mark with a slogan or class name across the back gets worn far more than a giant logo on the front. Milestone shirts work well too, such as a 100-class tee or a first-marathon finisher shirt with each member's name, because they're personalized rewards people earned. Give coaches and staff their own color so new members know who to ask.

If you're outfitting a league or school squad rather than a gym, our team uniforms and fan wear collection covers jerseys, numbers and sideline gear.

Performance Fabrics: Moisture-Wicking, Stretch and UPF

Fabric decides whether a workout shirt gets worn or stays in a drawer.

  • Moisture-wicking polyester pulls sweat to the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates, so the shirt stays light instead of clinging. Most performance tees are lightweight knits, usually under 5 oz.
  • Poly-spandex blends add a small percentage of spandex for four-way stretch, which suits tanks, fitted tees and joggers that move through lifts and stretches.
  • Cotton-poly and tri-blends are softer and work for warm-ups, lifestyle tees and merch, but cotton holds sweat, so they're not ideal for hard training.
  • UPF-rated fabrics block ultraviolet light. A UPF 50 rating lets through about 1/50 of the sun's UV, roughly 2%, which matters for outdoor bootcamps and midday runs in Florida sun.

For fiber-by-fiber detail, including care and shrinkage, see our performance fabric guide.

Workout Tees, Tanks and Joggers

These three pieces make up most custom workout clothes, and each has its own placement rules.

Training tees

Short- and long-sleeve performance tees are the backbone of any gym line. What many people call custom dri-fit shirts are simply moisture-wicking polyester tees, and they take full-color prints, sublimation and small embroidered marks well. Long sleeves add sun coverage for outdoor classes, and coaches' shirts can carry a personalized name across the shoulders.

Tanks

Racerback and muscle tanks have deep armholes and less chest area, so keep the front mark small (about 3 in. wide) or move the main graphic to the upper back between the shoulder blades.

Joggers and shorts

The usual spot is the hip or upper thigh, around 2–4 in. wide. Seams and pockets limit the print area, so check the mockup closely.

Hoodies for early classes

Air-conditioned studios and 5 a.m. starts call for a light layer. Our gym hoodies range from lightweight pullovers to heavier fleece, with an embroidered chest logo or a big back print.

Run Club and Race-Day Apparel

Run clubs need gear that works in the dark and in the heat. Bright, light-colored polyester tees are easy to spot at 5:30 a.m. and stay cooler once the Central Florida sun is up. Put the club name large across the back, since that's what the pack behind you sees.

For a club-hosted race, the classic custom running apparel layout is the event name and date on the front and a sponsor list on the back, up to about 12 in. wide. Keep heavy, stiff prints off the underarms and sides, where they rub over long miles; sublimation and DTF stay flexible. Branded caps finish the kit, stitched flat, raised with 3D puff embroidery or patched, and finisher shirts with personalized names or times make a keepsake members actually wear. Race day closing in? Rush orders are available, with the rush fee quoted with your order.

Yoga and Studio Wear

Yoga and pilates clients usually prefer a quieter look: tone-on-tone logos, a small wordmark, soft neutral colors. Soft tri-blend tees, racerback tanks and lightweight crew sweatshirts for after class are the core pieces.

Decoration should be soft too. A small print or a light embroidered logo on a sweatshirt feels right; a dense stitched logo on a thin stretch tank feels stiff against a mat. For instructors, a branded tank in a contrasting color makes them easy to find in a full class, and a front-desk retail shelf of the same styles lets clients buy what the teachers wear.

Selling Fitness Apparel: Resale Lines for Gyms and Brands

Plenty of gyms and fitness brands sell branded apparel as a second revenue line. The low-risk way to start is a small test run of two or three designs, then reorder what sells. Because there's no minimum, you can check fit and fabric with a single sample before committing. Orlando-metro gyms can pick up finished orders at our Orlando-area warehouse, and every order can ship anywhere in the US.

To be clear about what we do: we decorate quality blanks with your branding; we don't cut and sew garments from scratch. For volume orders, our wholesale page explains bulk pricing and what private-label fitness apparel involves (we don't add labels or relabel), and you can ask us about reseller pricing.

Print or Embroider Activewear?

Not every decoration method suits stretchy, sweat-wicking fabric. Here's how they compare on activewear:

Method Best activewear use Watch for One-time setup
Sublimation Light-colored 100% polyester tees and tanks; all-over designs Not for cotton or dark garments Not offered by us; we print DTF instead
DTF Polyester, blends and cotton in any color; full-color logos Large solid areas sit on the fabric and breathe less None
Screen printing Runs of 100+ pieces of the same 1–3 color design, through our team Dyed polyester can bleed into light ink (dye migration) Quoted with a 100+ piece order; reorders skip it
Embroidery Hoodies, sweatshirts, polos, joggers and caps Dense logos can pucker thin, stretchy knits $35 digitizing; reorders skip it
DTG Cotton lifestyle tees and merch Weak on polyester; we print DTF instead None

Sublimation dyes the fiber itself, so it can't crack or peel and doesn't block airflow. DTF stretches with the fabric and works on dark performance colors. For a deeper look at heat settings, inks and fabric compatibility, read our page on printing on performance fabrics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print on moisture-wicking polyester?

Yes, with DTF, which works on polyester in any color, including black and navy. Sublimation is another good choice for light-colored polyester because the dye bonds into the fiber and stays breathable, but we don't offer it. Screen printing can work for runs of 100+ pieces, though dyed polyester needs care to prevent color bleeding into light inks. DTG isn't recommended on polyester because colors come out dull.

Can you make custom gym clothing with our logo?

Yes. Upload your logo, choose tees, tanks, joggers or hoodies, and preview your design live in our 3D Custom Designer before anything is produced, or request a bulk quote for 100+ pieces and get a free digital mockup. SVG or PDF files are best; high-resolution PNG or JPG files are accepted, and AI and EPS files can be sent with a bulk quote. Embroidery carries a one-time $35 digitizing fee, charged once per design and skipped on reorders, and screen-print setup is quoted with a 100+ piece order. DTF has no setup fee.

Do you offer wholesale fitness apparel for resale?

Gyms, studios and fitness brands can order branded activewear in volume to sell to members or online; for a wholesale or reseller pricing program, ask us. Per-item price depends on the garment, decoration method, number of colors or stitches and quantity; garment prices are on each product page, and setup fees apply only once per design. Start with a small test run, then reorder the designs that sell.

Are you a gym clothing manufacturer?

Not in the cut-and-sew sense. We're a decorator: we take quality blank garments and add your logo with embroidery, printing or patches. If you need an original garment pattern sewn from raw fabric, you'll need a cut-and-sew factory. Many fitness brands start with decorated blanks to test demand before investing in their own patterns.

What's the minimum order for custom activewear?

There's no minimum. You can order a single tank to test fit, or outfit a whole membership. Every custom athletic apparel design is previewed first in our 3D Custom Designer, bulk orders of 100+ pieces get a free mockup, and the same design can be reordered later in any quantity. One-time setup fees spread further on larger runs, but volume is never required.

Your brand. Beautifully made.
